Rajasthani cuisine or food style is always determined by war like lifestyle of it’s locals and the availability of ingredients in dry region. If I talk about their it food last for several days. The main dish is Dal Bati Churma.

Dal Bati Churma is a very famous dish and can say Rajasthani food is Dal Bati Churma. During the preparation ghee is main which is used to give the main taste.

Preparation of Dal Bati Churma

For making Dal ingredients are

kind of Dal –mixdal. First we have to boil the dal (pulses)and for it we will take 1/4 Arhar ki Dal, 1/4 masur, 1/4 moong Dal, 1/4chana, 1/4 urad, now wash it. Put the washed Dal in the pressure cooker, add 1/4 salt and 1/4 tumeric then boil it.

Tadka Dal (tempering Dal)how to make tadka

  1. oil -4spoon
  2. Redchilli-1
  3. Hing(asafoetida)-1/4teaspoon
  4. Mustard seed-1 teaspoon
  5. Cummin seeds-1 teaspoon
  6. Garlic- 8-10garlic chopped
  7. onion- 1 chopped now Cook for 3-4min
  8. Tomatoes- 1 chopped
  9. add Tumeric-1/2 spoon
  10. Chilli powder- 1 spoon
  11. Coriander powder- 1 spoon
  12. Add Salt according your taste(swad anusaar Cook for 3-4 min. After this pour tadka and mix it with boiled Dal add water cook it for 8min. After it add 1spoon Garam masala and chopped coriander. Here the Dal of the dish is ready.

Bati (Dal Bati Churma)

For making Bati the method and ingredients

  1. 4cup wheat flour
  2. 1/2cup suji
  3. 1/2 salt
  4. 1 teaspoon ajwien(Trachyspermum ammi)
  5. 1/2 ghee.
  6. Add some water and make a tight dough of this. Leave it for 15min. Make dough balls press it with finger. Now place these dough balls in oven baked them. After this the baatis are bake. urther dip them in ghee and here the baati is ready.

Making procedure and ingredients of Churma ladoo

  1. 2cup flour
  2. 1/4 ghee
  3. Add water gradually and make a tight dough.
  4. Grind that dough into mixi grinder
  5. Now add 1/2 ghee into mixture
  6. Add some dry fruits
  7. Sugar- 1cup
  8. Cardamon powder- 1spoon mix it well and make the round round Churma ladoo from the mixture.

  3. Kadhi- kadhi is all over famous in North India , Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab.
  4. Ghevar is the most lovable sweet which is originated from Rajasthani cuisine
  5. Moong Dal ka Halwa is one my favourite mostly eat winters. Moong Dal halwa always there in every marriages parties for dessert.
